Princess Gauravi Kumari

Over the weekend, Princess Gauravi Kumari took on hosting duties with a glamorous new collaboration. Ralph Lauren partnered with the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation to host a gala dinner and auction at Jaipur’s City Palace. The foundation, spearheaded by Princess Diya Kumari and her daughter, founder of the label PDKF, Princess Gauravi Kumari, joined hands with the American brand for a silent auction. Items from the treasuries of both parties included experiential treatments and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. In an interview with Vogue India, the event’s hostess, Princess Gauravi Kumari, discussed her collaboration with Ralph Lauren, her passion for heritage, the importance of empowering women, and her favourite hidden gems in Jaipur.
Ralph Lauren has been close to my family for a number of years, and when the team heard about the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, they were deeply interested in the work we do. We initiated a conversation on how to work together a while back and the gala evening was the culmination of many months of discussions and work. They’ve been very generous with their support and I’m really thankful to them.
There are many interesting lots but some of the highlights would definitely be the chance to stay at the City Palace in the Royal Gudliya Suite and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet with and interact with the women supported by PDKF through the craft experience at Badal Mahal, our foundation’s headquarters.
